JOB SUMMARY
IT security specialist to attend to company IT security need. The person will handle audit and compliance requirement required by licensor E.g. Auditor, Bank Negara and Malaysia Communication and Multimedia Commissions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

1. Develop plans to safeguard computer files against unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
2. Choose, implement, monitor, and upgrade computer anti-virus and malware protection systems.
3. Encrypt data transmissions and erect firewalls to conceal confidential information during transmit.
4. Implement password authentication to keep unauthorized users from accessing sensitive data files.
5. Modify security files to incorporate new software, correct errors, and change user access status.
6. Perform risk assessments and tests on running data processing activities and security measures.
7. Educate workers about computer security and promote security awareness and security protocols.
8. Keep accurate and current backup files of all important data on the shared corporate network.
9. Prepare and review policy and procedure to the latest requirement and standards.

QUALIFICATION

1. Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology or MIS related field.
2. Preferred Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) with hands-on experience.
3. Knowledgeable in Customer Information Permitted Disclosure (MCIPD), Risk Management in Technology (RMiT), ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ISO 22301:2019 Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS).
4. Min 7 years of experience in information security management and leadership with a hands-on mindset.
5. Proven track record in partnering with senior leadership in developing and delivering strategic security initiatives and managing program.
6. Action oriented professional with proven track record of problem solving, decision making, prioritization, delegation, and time management skills.
